was conceived over six years ago and is just now becoming
reality. It has required intensive testing of
materials... not all composites are created equal and as
always Jones Brothers chose the very best in performance and
long term durability. Over a three year period new
molds were conceived and engineered using computer aided
design, plugs were built, testing conducted, molds built,
processes tested until finally new boats were moving down
the assembly line!
All Bateau hulls, consoles and seats are 100% hand laid
fiberglass for consistent quality, superior strength,
safety, and the best finish of any sport utility skiff on
the market! The Bateaus' Accu-Trak hull design delivers
exceptional turning and handling, dryness and safety
unequaled in any other sport utility skiff. For safe
movement anywhere in your boat, a Shark-Skin non-skid
surface provides sure footing anywhere in the cockpit.
Bateaus
offer many designed-in features including a unique molded
fiberglass stringer system that is laminated to the hull and
deck during construction for exceptional strength, rigidity
and durability. Foam flotation is then injected into all
spaces under the floor, bonding the compartments into a
single unit. This provides a safe, durable hull that gives
exceptional long term service. A rigging conduit under the
floor makes your cockpit safe and uncluttered. Glassed in
forward decks with an access hatch are factory installed to
provide a solid, finished platform for casting, loading or
mounting fishing accessories.
All rails
and hardware are made of durable 316 grade stainless steel
for finish, strength and easy maintenance. Heavy duty rub
rails are installed with stainless steel bolts and locking
nuts with a continuous band washer around the entire rub
rail for fit, finish and strength.
The Cape Fisherman is a V-hull center console originally
designed for the unpredictable waters around Cape Lookout,
